We encourage businesses to welcome mothers and babies and provide them with a comfortable place to breastfeed their baby.

Businesses are being contacted, asking them to provide a welcoming environment for nursing mothers because breastfeeding is good for babies and mothers and welcoming them may be good for business too.

To become a Family Friendly Business, we ask just two things:
-Have a welcoming attitude to nursing mothers and their babies
-Provide a comfortable, clean place for a mother to breastfeed her baby--a dressing room or a quiet corner, but NOT a restroom. Mother and baby will be grateful.

In exchange, the Family Friendly Business initiative will:
-List your business as Family Friendly in information available to mothers
-Provide a vinyl window cling to place in the window of your business that says "Breastfeeding Welcome Here" if you choose to display it
-Offer a handout encouraging employees to adapt the business's family friendly attitude
-List your business and map its location on the Family Friendly Business Facebook page and the Family Friendly Breastfeeding Initiative website
